Taking good photographs

On 22 May 2014, KHANA held its technical support to three of its partners on how to take good photographs. The support is held at in CWPD office in Siem Reap with participants from CWPD, MHC and SCC, local NGOs in Siem Reap.

“Technical support on taking good photographs commissioned by USAID Flagship allows both KHANA and its partners to learn and share new knowledge on good photographing and also helps KHANA and its partners to improve their communications, said Mr. Mey Sovannara. “One photo tells us many things and worthier than several written pages; however, we must have imagery use permission before we use a photo,” he added.

In this support, participants can explore their learning not only on how to take photos but also how to select, analyze, edit, write a caption, and communicate a photo with stakeholders and donors. All learned participants are expected to share their knowledge to other colleagues and to share activity photos from the field with proper informed consent on their imagery use.
