KHANA builds strategic alliances in order to promote strong partnerships and effective networking as well as to support effective program implementation with relevant government institutions and stakeholders.
At national level, KHANA is actively involved in different national technical working groups including:
- National Monitoring and Evaluation Advisory Group
- National MSM TWG
- Drugs and HIV/AIDS TWG
- Research Steering Committee
- Outreach/Peer Education and 100% Condom Use Program TWG
- National OVC Task Force
- Ministry of Health Technical Working Group for the Development of Policy, Guidelines and Protocols for the treatment of drug dependency including drug detoxification
We also provide both financial and technical support to two national networks: People Living with HIV/AIDS Network (CPN+) and the National MSM Network- Bandanh Chaktomuk - to build their empowerment, leadership and management contributing to the response to HIV and AIDS in Cambodia and to counter-stigma and discrimination against those who are most at risk and vulnerable to HIV. Currently, these two national networks continue to play key roles in national policy development and to work together with relevant NGOs/ CBOs, and government in addressing effective and sustainable response to HIV and AIDS.
At provincial level, KHANA also provides both financial and technical support to 12 provincial CPN+ networks to conduct annual advocacy activities and quarterly coordination meetings amongst the self help groups and service providers. KHANA supports 10 provincial home care networks. These networks help to coordinate the work of the home care teams across each province and serve as a liaison point to the Provincial Health Department.
At NGOs/CBOs level- KHANA continues to work with HIV/AIDS Coordinating Committee (HACC) - the membership organization of around a hundred NGOs/CBOs in Cambodia which aims to enhance the capacity and voice of civil society in national policy development and fund-raising activities.
At regional level, KHANA continues our representation as one of the active members of the Purple Sky Network- the regional network of MSM, the Blue Sky Network- the Alliance Family Members, as well as others to promote our profile and to involve in joint policy and advocacy efforts as necessary.
