Background
WOMEN is a non-governmental organization established and registered with the Ministry of the
Interior in 1993. WOMEN works on health care, health education and community development with
groups at risk of HIV,AIDS and STI and people living with HIV, orphans and vulnerable children
covering the four provinces of Phnom Penh, Prey Veng, Kandal and Oddor Meanchay. KHANA
supports HIV care, support and prevention in 3 Operational Districts (Kampong Trabaek, Tbong
and Kandal in Phnom Penh), 8 Health Centre, 11 Communes, and 96 Villages.
Vision
WOMEN envisages a society where the rights of vulnerable people and children are respected and
where they receive the appropriate care and support from their communities to enable them to
develop themselves and participate to their full potential.
Mission Statement
WOMEN delivers effective programs that help communities build their capacity to accept their
social responsibility towards the weaker members in their community, to include and protect them
and especially to improve the lives of vulnerable people and children.

Human Resources
TOTAL 90 full time staff (Female 48 Male 42) and 235 volunteers. 11 fulltime staff, eight part-time
staff and 54 volunteers working on ICP supported from USAID-PEPFAR, GF and EC through
KHANA.
