Background

VFC was established as a company and registered with the Ministry of Commerce in 2003

receiving a license from National Bank of Cambodia in the following year. Credit activities had been

implemented in the community by World Vision Cambodia through World Vision Area Development

Programes since the 1990s, and the Micro Enterprise Development program was established to

oversee all WVC credit activities.

Later ownership was fully transferred to Vision Fund International who has grown steadily and

currently serve more than 40,000 clients in eight provinces with the total loan portfolio of more than

UD$7.5 million. KHANA supports activities in 1 Operational District (Tbong Khmum), 3 Health

Centers, 10 Communes, and 35 villages.

Program

Projects Funded through KHANA:

• HIV and AIDS affected people and OVC in Tbong Khmum district.

• Provide loans to people living with HIV and OVC families

Other Projects:

• VFC also provides loans and saving (Voluntary saving and social investor deposits) services,

financial education and some information dissemination such as HIV awareness, child rights,

gender equality, family roles, how to improve business etc….)
