Background

MHSS is a local NGO based in Battambang province with the field offices in Phnom Penh,

Kampong Speu, Prey Veng, Kampong Chhnang, Bantey Meanchey and Kampong Thom. It has

been actively operating in Cambodia since 2004, in a sectors of health, training and capacity

building of health at all levels. MHSS was registered in 2004 and received recognition by the

Ministry of Interior. MHSS is a dynamic motivated group working with men who have sex with men

and transgendered people, drug users, entertainment workers and factory worker to identify their

health problems and other issues and their consequences in resource-poor settings. KHANA

supports focused prevention in 8 Operational Districts (Battambang, Sangke, Kg. Chhnang, Kg.

Tralach, Boribo, Kampong Speu, O Dong, and Neak Loeung).

 

Vision

MHSS emphasizes the development of strategies to respond to the HIV epidemic; other sexually

transmitted infections and impact; and related reproductive health concerns of individuals and

communities.

 

Mission Statement

To improve the quality life of MSM/TG, drug users, entertainment workers, factory workers and

other vulnerable groups in Cambodia to prevent HIV, AIDS and STI transmission and to mitigate the

impact of HIV and AIDS.
