Background
CDRCP is a non-governmental, non-political, non-profit and non-religious organization which was
founded in 1995 and registered with the Ministry of Interior the following year. CDRCP started its
HIV and STI Prevention and Home Visit and Support Project in 1998 covering 31 villages in
Kompong Trach District and later expanded into an Integrated Prevention and Home Based Care
Project supporting people living with HIV and orphans and vulnerable children in 21 Villages of 4
Communes within two Health Centers of Kompong Trach Operational District in Kampot Province.
CDRCP also provides vocational training and support to business development for poor people. It
provides training on health, hygiene, human rights and gender and advocates on social issues.
Vision
To alleviate poverty and improve the living conditions of the poor especially orphans, widows,
disabled and elderly people; reduce unemployment and migration to cities and promote health and
social welfare.
Mission Statement
Developing strategies for reducing the numbers of jobless people and improving the living condition
of target groups in the city and rural areas through community development in cooperation with the
Government and other NGOs and IOs.
