To
keep responsive in the front line to the changing pictures of HIV/AIDS in Cambodia,
several local and international top policy makers and health experts have recently
gathered together to provide their useful ideas to KHANA senior management leaders.
The meeting aimed at reaching the Cambodian Millennium Development goals, National
Response to HIV/AIDS, the UK-Based International HIV/AIDS Alliance's Strategic Frame
Work and the universal access, including the Cambodian government's rectangular strategy.
The active discussion was joined by Ms. Lynette Lowndes, Field Programmes Director
of the International HIV/AIDS Alliance, Mr. Tony Lisle, Country Coordinator of UNAIDS
in Cambodia and KHANA Chair of Board, Dr. Tea Phauly, Project Officer of UNODC and
KHANA Vice Chair of Board, Cheryl L. Urashima, Institutional Development and Management
Specialist of Asian Development Bank and the Treasurer of KHANA Board, Dr. David Wilkinson,
International Health Consultant and KHANA Board Member, Mr. Chun Bora, ILO Programme
Coordinator and KHANA Board Member, Mr. Men Nimith, Executive Director of Arbitration
Council Foundation of Cambodia and KHANA Board Member, and Susan Hagadorn, a consultant
from the Alliance.
During a whole day debate on February 9 in Siem Reap provincial town, KHANA senior
management leaders mobilized many significant knowledge sources to improve their quality
plans for 2007 up to 2010.
